Fiona O'Connell
Fiona is a Partner with O'Flynn Exhams.
Fiona’s practice focuses on Corporate/Commercial
Law, with particular expertise in drafting and negotiating documentation
required for M&A, MBI and MBO transactions as well as shareholders
agreements, joint ventures and all types of commercial contracts.
Fiona also works in the area of banking and finance
and frequently advises Irish lenders on multi million euro facilities.
She also provides corporate support to the Firm’s
energy and natural resource clients including Bord Gáis Eireann
and Circle Oil Plc which she advised on its 2004 listing on Alternative
Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining O’Flynn Exhams in 2003,
Fiona worked for seven years in the Commercial Department of A &
L Goodbody.
Fiona is a graduate of University College, Cork
(National University of Ireland, Cork) where she was awarded BCL
and LLM degrees. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1996.
Fiona previously lectured in the area of Company
Law at University College, Cork and currently lectures on the Business
Law Course at the Law Society of Ireland. She has also contributed
to a book on Privacy Law and published articles in leading law journals.
