Irene O'Donovan
Irene is a Partner with O'Flynn Exhams.
Irene’s primary focus is Corporate/Commercial Law, with particular expertise in advising energy and natural resource companies on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, stock exchange listings, financings and regulatory affairs.
Since the mid-nineties, Irene has been involved in providing advice to the Gas Transportation Division of Bord Gáis Éireann and has been its lead lawyer in the production of the Code of Operations. According to the Chambers & Partners, 2009 Edition, “a dedicated energy lawyer and holds her own against the biggest players in Dublin and London”. PLC Which Lawyer, 2009 Edition states that Irene is “well-regarded corporate and commercial law expert with notable strengths in the oil and gas sector”. Finally, Chambers & Partners, 2008 Edition states that “no one holds a candle to her at what she does”, “She’s thorough, puts in the hours and gets to the bottom of every issue”.
Irene graduated from University College Cork in 1975 with a BCL (Hons) and qualified as a Solicitor in 1977.
